Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Square Lens Alliance wants everyone to be able to take part in our community, online and in person. This statement covers our website, square-lens-aliance.framer.website, and our events.

Our website

We aim for the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We try to make sure you can:

  • zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen;

  • read the site comfortably on a phone;

  • navigate using a keyboard or screen reader;

  • understand content written in plain English.

Known issues

We have not yet had a full independent accessibility audit. In our latest check we found that:

  • the separators in our event agendas are marked up as headings, which may be confusing for screen reader users;

  • some decorative text uses a display font that may be harder to read;

  • forms and booking pages are provided by third parties (Google Forms, Notion, HubSpot and Eventbrite) and their accessibility is outside our control.

We are working to fix these issues.

How we tested this website

We last tested this website on 4 October 2026. Our checks included:

  • automated checks with axe-core against the WCAG 2.2 level AA rules on every page, which found no failures;

  • Google Lighthouse accessibility tests on every page, on mobile and desktop, where every page scored 100 out of 100;

  • a review of what screen readers announce on each page: the page language, headings, links, image descriptions, page regions and form names;

  • a keyboard-only test, moving through every page with the Tab key to check that all links and forms can be reached in a logical order and that it is always clear where the focus is;

  • a manual test with the VoiceOver screen reader on macOS;

  • manual checks of colour contrast and the mobile layout.

Following these checks, we improved the contrast of links and labels, fixed the heading structure, added descriptions to meaningful images, marked the main content area of each page, gave our newsletter form and social media links clear names for screen readers and set the page language to British English.

Automated tools and our own checks cannot find every barrier, and we have not yet tested the website with disabled people. If you find a problem, please let us know.

Our events

We choose venues with step-free access where we can, and we include access information when we announce an event. If you have access needs, for example a quiet space, seating, captions or a support worker, please tell us when you book or email us beforehand, and we will do our best to help. Any access information you share is handled as explained in our Privacy Policy.

Feedback and contact

If you find something on our website or at our events difficult to access, or you need information in a different format, please contact us:
